Is it true that the Hillsboro Chief of Police is promoting several people based on the "Old Buddy System?" It is not hard to believe the Selectpersons agreed with this. Most towns have gone to promotions of police officers based on education, experience, written or oral exam or both. The Chief and the Union maintain looks, personality and longevity is the way to go. Anyone heard how the Union negotiations with our selectpersons are going?
